Biography

Dr. Bangwato Sikwa is a medical doctor with interest in Sexual Reproductive Health, Public Health and Health Administration. She holds a Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Health Science - Medicine and Bachelor of Science (Zoology/Chemistry). Dr. Sikwa has worked in various areas of health including hospital both clinical and administration, community clinic work both public and private, managing national HIV/AIDS counselling and testing centers for Botswana and health financing with health insurance companies. Since 2012, Dr. Sikwa has been working with the Seventh-day Adventist Church in various administrative posts of Health Ministries Department. She is currently the Executive Director of Adventist AIDS International Ministry (AAIM), coordinating programs in Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID), East-Central Africa Division (ECD) and West-Central Africa (WAD) under the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. She is married to Dr. Ramabu, an orthopedic surgeon, and they are based in Botswana.
