Biography 

Dr. Mahlon Juma is the Program Coordinator for the Master of Chaplaincy Program, where he is committed to developing Christ-centered leaders for Africa and beyond. An ordained minister with 28 years of service, he has worked across Uganda, Kenya, and the Philippines, demonstrating a deep commitment to pastoral care, education, and community service. His extensive experience includes overseeing chaplaincy programs in over 129 educational institutions, directing prison and hospital ministries, and contributing to national leadership initiatives.  Further to his other academic achievements, Dr. Juma is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies at AUA. He is a Board-Certified Chaplain, Senior Accredited Psychologist, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Professional Association of Chaplains in Kenya. Married to Betty, he is passionate about integrating faith, scholarship, and compassionate service to transform lives and communities.
