The University is looking to fill a vacancy for the position of a MultiMedia Production Assistant to provide technical support to faculty on the production of technology-based educational resources including studio production, and uploading of video content to the Learning Management System (LMS), to assist in the coverage of University events, and production of promotional and website content.

Qualifications Required
- Degree/Diploma in Broadcast Technology, Media Production, Film Production, or related fields.
- Knowledge of audio/video production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Audacity).
- Understanding of broadcast systems, video standards, and encoding.
- Certifications in Specific Skills (Optional but Beneficial) – Audio/Video Production Software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, Final Cut, Articulate 360, or Vyond)
Skills Required
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with audio-visual equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Audacity).
- Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and staff, ensuring their multimedia needs are met.
- Attention to Detail: Careful editing and reviewing of multimedia content to ensure professional quality and adherence to University guidelines.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with tight deadlines.
- Adaptability: Ability to switch between different types of multimedia projects (academic, promotional, social media) and audiences (students, staff, external viewers
Required Work Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in multimedia production, video editing, or digital content creation. Internship, freelance, or volunteer experience in media production is a plus.
- Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Camtasia, or similar software.
- Familiarity with multimedia equipment (cameras, lighting, microphones) preferred.
- Experience in uploading and managing content on websites, social media, or LMS platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., adding captions to videos) is an advantage.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
- Pre-Production: Planning content, coordinating schedules, and assisting faculty with scripts and storyboards.
- Production: Handling camera, audio, and lighting setup, assisting faculty/students, and livestreaming events.
- Post-Production: Editing videos, enhancing content with graphics, captions, and animations.
- LMS Support: Uploading and organizing multimedia content on the LMS, troubleshooting issues.
- Event & Equipment Management: Coordinating multimedia production for University events and maintaining equipment inventory.
- Creative Contributions: Assisting in educational and promotional content creation, including social media videos.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Providing on-the-spot support during recordings and post-production.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensuring content follows University guidelines, copyright laws, and maintains high quality.
