About: Adventist University of Africa (AUA), a Chartered University of Seventh-day Adventists (SDA) Church based in Nairobi, Kenya, established by the General Conference of SDA to provide post-graduate education in Theology, Business, Public Health, Applied Computer Science and other fields. The University seeks to deliver balanced and dynamic post-graduate education in a Christian context to prepare graduates who will provide competent leadership and service based on integrity, respect, and love to church and society.

The University is looking to fill a vacancy for the position of a lecturer in the Theological Seminary to teach and direct graduate studies and research in Pastoral Ministry.

Qualifications and Skills Required: Earned Doctoral degree in Pastoral Ministry and qualified to teach graduate-level and conduct and direct research in Pastoral Ministry. Willing and able to work with students and faculty from various cultures and ethnic backgrounds in an international setting; Have a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in regular standing.

Qualifications Preferred: Doctor of Ministry (DMin) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pastoral Ministry with specialization in Church, African Society and Mission, Church Leadership and Administration, Discipleship and Biblical Spirituality, Evangelism and Church Growth, Marriage and Family, Pastoral Care and Counselling, Word, Worship and Liturgy, and Youth and Young Adult Ministry.

Required Work Experience: Be an ordained minister of the gospel and have a minimum of 5 years of ministerial experience. A holder of ministerial credentials of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Loyal to the Seventh-day Adventist Church's message and mission, evidenced by membership and active involvement in a local church. Preferably a minimum of six (6) years of full-time teaching experience, three of which should be at the graduate level. In addition, show evidence of published research and Supervision of thesis and dissertation at the Masters or Doctoral level.

Duties and Responsibilities: Teach Pastoral Ministry and Cognate courses. Advice Master's projects and DMin dissertations as would be assigned. Serve in thesis and dissertation committees of the Theological Seminary as would be assigned. Engage in research and community service. Perform any assigned relevant responsibilities by the University.

In addition, three recommendations, two from university administrators and one from a church administrator, should accompany the application.
