AUA MBA Program Launch

Students with Drs. Larry Evans and Josephine Ganu

The MBA program was successfully launched at Adventist University of Africa (AUA) in 2013 with 45 students from different parts of Africa.

Twenty-five of our MBA students coming from the Eastern and Southern parts of Africa were hosted on our main campus in Kenya for their intensive 10-week classes. Twenty other students from the West-Central region of Africa were hosted on one of our extension campuses – Valley View University, Ghana.

The MBA program at AUA is about fresh thinking, innovative leadership, positive impact and ethical values to balance professional competency. The uniqueness of our MBA program hinges on the fact that at AUA we deliberately connect biblical values with each subject matter. This provides a platform and opportunity that demands personal reflection. Besides, as part of our curriculum, we offer a core course on ‘the Theology of Wealth & Stewardship’ that differentiates our MBA program from others. In light of financial and ethical scandals confronting organizations today, this course is structured to train our students to developing the biblical meaning of stewardship and wealth and how it applies and affects organizations. Furthermore, AUA is strengthened by diversity; faculty and students come from different nationalities and backgrounds that greatly enrich teaching and learning.

Currently, our MBA students come from eighteen different countries: Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda, Zimbabwe among others. Such diversity is an integral part of the learning experience.

When admitted into our MBA program, you join a group of matured and experienced business leaders from all over Africa. Students benefit from sharing their own experience during classroom discussions and apply management theory to their existing practical knowledge.

We encourage candidates who seek value-based education and experience, in which students challenge the status quo and learn from each other, to join our MBA program.
