MBA Healthcare Management (SID Cohort)

MBAHealthcareManagement Our Program

The Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management programme is a professional programme designed to develop skilled professionals of integrity whose influence as agents of change will be felt within the healthcare industry at large. The AUA MBA Healthcare has business and healthcare at its core.

The primary goal of the MBA Healthcare Management programme is to prepare graduates who are well trained and equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and solid management foundation needed to manage and lead healthcare institutions. The programme emphasizes three of the most fundamental aspects of management: strategic thinking, functional effectiveness and efficient decision-making. Those who complete the program will:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the healthcare system and the environment in which healthcare managers and providers function.
  2. Demonstrate competence in leadership and management skills to create a productive working environment within different types of healthcare organizations that support the organization’s vision, mission, values, and activities.
  3. Systematically diagnose the organizational environment and operations to identify needed changes and to skillfully implement those changes in ways that achieve the organization's goal(s).
  4. Analyze information and systems related to continuous quality initiatives that promote improved healthcare outcomes.
  5. Apply business skills and knowledge, including systems thinking of the healthcare environment.
  6. Exhibit individual and organizational professionalism in their conduct with ethical standards that include a responsibility to stakeholders, a service orientation, and a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.

  1. The minimum entry or admission requirement is a bachelor degree from any discipline with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.50 on 4-point scale.
  2. A student will take two years to complete the program. For each course, there will be two weeks online delivery and one-week intensive face-to-face mode of delivery. There are two semesters in each year with four courses to be completed in each semester. With one course taking one week face-to-face, students are therefore expected to spend about one month away from work in each semester at the on-site face-to-face session.
  3. The tuition fee is here below.
  4. The program is open to all- Adventist and non-Adventist, church workers and non-church workers.
  5. All applications are submitted through the SID Health Ministry Director or directly to the AUA Registrar This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  6. We plan tentatively to begin the program on August 21, 2018

In response to this need, AUA has developed a scholarship fund from the generous support of donors.

Apply for the AWS Scholarship before 31st January.
