Delbert W. Baker holds a PhD in Organizational Communication from Howard University, an MDiv from Andrews University, and a BS in Theology from Oakwood University. His post-doctoral training includes work at Harvard University, Boston University, certifications as an Emotional Intelligence Trainer and an Executive Leadership Coach. Baker has served the Seventh-day Adventist Church as an ordained minister, educator, and administrator. Prior to taking up responsibilities as Vice Chancellor at AUA, he was a Vice President of the General Conference; the President of Oakwood University; and Special Assistant to the President and Director for Diversity at Loma Linda University. He also served as a pastor in the Allegheny West Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in the USA, the Editor of Message Magazine and an Associate in the Ellen G. White Estate. Baker has authored 15 books and written numerous articles for church and secular journals. He has done leadership training and evangelism on every continent. Baker has received numerous awards for community and public service, including Alumnus of the Year from Oakwood University and recognition awards from NASA Space Flight Center and the United States White House. Baker is a well-known advocate of wellness and healthy lifestyle choice. He enjoys mountain climbing and running marathons—having run marathons (42km) on all seven continents and the North Pole, as well as in 36 of the 50 states in the USA.  Baker is married to Susan, who is faculty at AUA. They have three adult sons—David, Benjamin, and Jonathan and five grandchildren.

Sampson

Sampson M. Nwaomah is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and Professor of
New Testament Theology, Exegesis, and Mission. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Religious
Studies (New Testament) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria. Prior to his joining AUA,
Dr. Nwaomah was twice Chair of the Department of Religious Studies, Vice-Dean and Acting Dean of the
School of Post-Graduate Studies, and the Dean of the School of Education and Humanities at Babcock
University, Nigeria. He has also served as External Examiner of Graduate programmes in
Religion to Universities in Nigeria. Currently, he is in the editorial team of some journals among which
are the Asia-Africa Journal of Mission and Ministry, African Journal of Biblical Studies, Insight: Journal of
Religious Studies. Dr. Nwaomah has attended and read papers at conferences in Africa, Asia, Europe and
North America. He has authored and co-authored books and articles in his areas of research interest:
New Testament Theology, Mission, Biblical Ecology and Religion and Society. He is married to Angela
and has four children.

Daniel Ganu is the Dean and an Associate Professor at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Department of Public Health at the Adventist University of Africa, Kenya. He earned his undergraduate degree in Theology and Health Science at the Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, USA. He proceeded to the Philippines where he earned his MPH and DrPH degrees from the Adventist University of the Philippines. He was a lecturer and the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Valley View University in Ghana. He is currently an Associate Professor of Public Health at the Adventist University of Africa. He also serves as the Director of Quality Assurance and Academic planning. He has published several research works in international referred journals. His research interests are in children’s health, drug abuse, spirituality and health, breastfeeding and health promotion.

Angela E. Nwaomah holds a PhD degree in Information Resources Management (Records
Management) from Babcock University, Nigeria. Prior to her joining AUA, Dr. Angela Nwaomah had worked in the Registry of Babcock University for over a decade and last served as the Principal Assistant Registrar
for Examination and Records. She is a member of the Information and Records Management Society of the
UK and has co-authored a book and published papers on academic administration, students academic
performance and students’ records management. She is married to Sampson and has four children.

Dr. Nyamari holds a Bsc. Environmental Health, MPhl. Environmental Health, and PhD Public Health – Environmental Health. He is also a consultant in Public Health Monitoring and Evaluation. His research interests include Injury Prevention, Environmental Epidemiology, Food Safety, Toxicology and Occupational Health.

Susan M. Baker is a registered physical therapist (PT) and holds a doctor of science (DSc) from Loma Linda University, California USA. She has clinical specialty in geriatrics and is a certified chronic care specialist. Her areas of expertise are in the rehabilitation of stroke, joint replacement, musculoskeletal disorders and movement dysfunction. She has been published in the peer-reviewed physical therapy journal and served the profession as a board examination writer. In addition to clinical practice, Baker has more than 20 years of teaching experience in allied health, public/community health, and physical therapy at Loma Linda University, Oakwood University and the University of Maryland. Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers listed Baker as a result of a nomination by her students. She has received awards for research from Loma Linda University and the American Physical Therapy Association, along with faculty development grants to fund her research. Baker’s professional interests include: exercise and muscle physiology; normal/abnormal aging; technology in education; curriculum design; faculty development;and community health education/promotion. Susan is married to Delbert Baker, who serves in the administration at AUA. They have three sons, two daughters (wives of sons) and five grandchildren. Her life mission is to live an authentic Christian life filled with grace and good works.

Musa Nyakora holds a PhD (OD) Degree in Organizational Development/ Strategic Leadership, 2003 from Cebu Doctors’ University, Philippines, a MCom in Strategic Management and Finance, 1982, Nagpur University and BCom in Financial Management and Auditing, 1980, Jabalpur University.

Prof. Nyakora has over 15 years’ experience in the NGO development work and Public sector operations. He has worked in several universities in the African region including countries such as Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda and Kenya. Prior to joining AUA, Prof. Nyakora worked for Mount Kenya University, as Director/Principal, both in Rwanda (Kigali) and Nairobi campuses between September 2010 and July 2015.

Josephine Ganu is an Associate Professor of Management the School of Postgraduate Studies and currently the Director of MBA programme. Her past research includes succession planning in entrepreneurial ventures, institutional mission statements, and corporate social responsibility. Her current research focuses on employer branding strategies and organizational justice.

Josephine received her PhD in Commerce from University of Santo Tomas, Philippines and her MBA in Management from Adventist University of the Philippines. She is a member of the Academy of Management.

Marie-Anne Razafiarivony holds a PhD degree from the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines and an MBA from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, equally in the Philippines. Originally from Mauritius, she has worked in various capacities for the SDA entities of the Indian Ocean Union, in particular at the Adventist University Zurcher, Madagascar, where she was a lecturer for 11 years as well as the department head of the Business Department. Her research interests include performance management, career development and the teaching of business courses in faith-based institutions. She is married to Davidson and has two daughters.

Dr. Davidson Razafiarivony is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He has served  as District Pastor, Department Director and Editor for the church in Madagascar and Mauritius. He was formerly a Lecturer, Dean, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, and President of the Adventist University Zurcher. He holds a PhD in Biblical Studies (NT) from the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies in the Philippines. Razafiarivony is an active member of Adventist Theological Society, Evangelical Theological Society, New Testament Society of Southern Africa, and Society of Biblical Literature. He is married to Marie Anne, a lecturer in Management studies. They have two adult daughters.

Eriks Galenieks was born in Latvia. He received M.Div. and PhD degrees at Andrews University. As an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church,  he has worked in various church-related capacities and spheres. Dr. Galenieks has participated in various international Bible Conferences and Seminars in Europe, Africa, and the United States. He also took part in archaeological excavations in Tel Jalul, Jordan.

 
Anna

Anna Galeniece was born in Latvia, Europe. She answered God’s call to serve Him while she was still a teenager. In developing her character and being, the Lord has helped her not only to climb high hills but also to go through valleys and wilderness experiences where she learned to become a broken vessel, which He was able to take and use. She has enjoyed serving her Master and King whom she is eagerly waiting to come and take home all His people from every corner of the earth. Anna Galeniece has ministered to the Lord on three different continents: Europe, North America, and Africa. Using her spiritual gifts, she has served God in various capacities as a pastor’s wife, Bible worker, associate pastor, healthcare chaplain, international speaker and a professor. She is a commissioned minister of the Gospel, holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Andrews University, teaches Applied Theology, and is the director of the Ellen G. White Estate Branch Office at AUA.

Kelvin Onongha is an ordained minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He holds a PhD Religion in Mission and Ministry from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, Michigan, in addition to a doctor of ministry degree in Global Mission Leadership from the same institution. He has held leadership positions in the church and academia, having served as an Executive Secretary of the South East Conference in Nigeria, and as Associate Vice-President for Student Development at Babcock University, Nigeria. Kelvin has also taught as an adjunct professor at Andrews University on a few Adventist university campuses around the world. He is an author and has published a number of articles in professional journals. He is married to Juliet, with whom they have two children.

Brenda is the ICT administrator and holds a  Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology degree from the United States International University-Africa (USIU-A). She has done many other professional courses such as Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Cisco Design Associate (CCDA), Cisco Express Foundations for Field Engineers, Customer Care, and Strategic Performance Management. She has previously worked for KENIC as a systems administrator, and MTN Business-Kenya as Service Delivery Engineer and has previously been nominated as an IETF fellow.

Peter Kereri is the chief accountant at Adventist University of Africa, Kenya. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Kenya Methodist University (KEMU) and proceeded to the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton where he earned his MBA and CPA(K). He was an Internal Auditor for Nyamira Conference of SDA for 3 years before joining Western Kenya conference of SDA as the Treasurer for 8 years. He has served at Adventist University of Africa since 2008 to date.

Norah is the Assistant Librarian in charge of Judith Thomas Library. She holds a BSc. in Information Sciences. She is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy in Library and Information Science. She has done many other professional courses including: Effective Marketing and Customer Relations; Effective Customer Care; Finance for non-finance managers; Presentation skills; and Change management. Prior to joining AUA, Norah worked with international organizations which include United States International University (USIU), The African Virtual University (AVU) and the British Council. She is very passionate about Library and Information Services work and is happy to be part of the AUA team contributing to the growth of the university through the library.

Juliet Onongha is a PhD candidate in Business Management. She holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in economics from the Ambrose Alli University and the University of Ibadan respectively, in Nigeria. She taught courses in economics for six years at Babcock University, Nigeria. Juliet also holds certificates for teaching in public schools in America, and as a nursing assistant. She is married to Kelvin and is a mother of two.
